All Cross writing instruments are warranted against mechanical failure, regardless of their age. A mechanical failure is defined as a mechanical malfunction that occurs when the product is used in accordance with the instruction manual found here or at https://www.cross.com/help, from loading and unloading ballpoint pens and pencil leads, to storing and supplying ink. If A.T.Cross determines that a mechanical part that provides the basic function of a writing instrument, ie, writing smoothly, has failed, it will be replaced with an equivalent product free of charge in accordance with this warranty.
